I am honored to have been elected to serve as your 2009 President and I would like to take this opportunity to thank our unit leaders for volunteering their precious time to promote our San Joaquin Sierra Unit. I have always supported the BCHC Objectives and Purpose to improve and promote the use, care and development of California backcountry trails. The strength of the Unit will rely on each of the members.

Once again we are filling our calendar with exciting day rides, overnight outings as well as the ever popular backcountry work parties. If you haven’t tried one you are really missing a terrific experience.

The calendar starts with two exciting events in February, followed by the Rendezvous scheduled March 20, 21, 22 in Turlock. The Rendezvous is a lot of fun and a great learning experience with an array of educational classes offered throughout the weekend. Our Unit has offered to staff the entrance gate, so please step forward and volunteer your time.
